Nationally, Lucille has performed at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York City; The Academy of Music, Philadelphia; Longwood Gardens; the Philadelphia Folk Festival; St. John’s Cathedral, Denver (where she serves as Music Associate); Ozark Folk Center, Mountain View, Arkansas; Sore Fingers Summer School, Kingham, England; Old Faithful Inn, Yellowstone National Park; the Arizona Folklore Preserve; as Artist-in-Residence for the New Jersey State Council on the Arts; and as resource musician to numerous schools, churches, and choirs throughout the country. This is her fourth appearance at City Stages.
The author of
two instruction books for hammered dulcimer and a monograph series for autoharp
(including one in a Braille-conversion edition), Lucille has one CD to her
credit and has composed several choral works, some of which include dulcimer or
autoharp.
In her spare
time, Lucille enjoys weaving, spinning, baking bread (including what is hailed
by some as the best pizza in Denver), biking, hiking, and nurturing four cats
who retreat to her lap during quiet moments.
